Joey's Crazy Birthday Party!

Last Sunday was Joey's birthday and wow was it fun(: Apparently, Joey's friend Tracy has not stopped talking about it and keeps saying that it was the best party he's ever been to (this of course makes Joey quite proud!) Joey had his best friend Charlie spend the night Saturday night and on Sunday they decorated for the party. Charlie LOVES to decorate! We had all spongebob decorations and that made Emi quite happy (she is in love with spongebob).

His other buddies got there around 2pm. It was a small group which made it even more fun. We started with musical chairs and the boys just loved it. Joey and Sasha were the last two left but they kept sitting on the chair at the same time to tie. They were so sweet. Sasha said Joey won because he's the birthday boy(:

Next we did face painting. Thank you again Nikki(: The boys thought that was sooo cool to have their own personal face painter. Most of them got spider webs with a spider coming down their nose. Very cool!!

After that we started our games. We went outside to play the dizzy bat game where you run to one side, turn around 5 times with the bat and then run back to your team. It was hilarious. We were all so dizzy. I couldn't even make the full 5 turns and was about run into the side of the house...I hate getting old!

Next was the scavenger hunt. The clues were in hierglyphics so they would have to decipher them with the key I made. They were excited. With each clue you could see the intensity grow as they knew they were getting closer to the treasure. When they found their treasure, they also found their silly string....so began the silly string fight. Man, this was such a fun party!!!

In my opinion, the next activity was the most fun of the whole party! Everybody got a pie plate filled with whip cream....and got to throw them at Joey's daddy...ha ha ha!! The boys thought this was the coolest thing ever. And no one was to shy to walk right up and smash it in Terry's face(: Terry was a very good sport and I couldn't stop laughing!

Then we did balloon animals and finally we had our very yummy spongebob birthday cake. Joey had so much fun and certainly knew how very special he is. He got great presents from his buddies and was quite pooped after everyone left. He wants to have the same party next year(: Happy Birthday Buddy. We love you so very much!!!

Just for you Mom(:

Well about a week ago I decided (with the help of my bestie of course) to become a red head. I LOVE IT!! I am pretty sure that once you go red, you never go back! HA! Anyway, I wanted to post a pic since my mom might be more excited about this than I am(: Love you Mom!! So here's the new do....

Joey turned 7 AND lost another tooth!!!

My baby is growing up way too fast! I keep telling him to stop but he says he can't and he wants to grow up...ugh! He is very proud to be 7 and the night before his birthday he stayed up until 11pm bound and determined that the was going to get his tooth out. He was very brave and once again needed to be alone while he pulled it(:
But he did it!!!

He got to sleep in on his birthday and when he woke up he got his cool racing video game. He was very excited and wanted to play it as soon as he got home from school. The tooth fairy also left him $2 for his tooth(: We were talking about what the tooth fairy might do with all of those teeth. We decided her house must be made out of them rather than brick(:

At lunchtime, the girls and I took 18 spiderman and cars cupcakes to Joey and his friends. He also got to wear a big yellow spongebob ribbon so that everyone would know that it was his special day. He already had on a cool sticker from Ms Geren that said happy birthday.

Joey also got to choose one special thing for his birthday. He chose to go play laser tag with Daddy. They had a blast...literally, and then they went to Target so that Joey could choose his toy with his birthday money. He got 2 cool lego sets and he and Daddy put them together when they got home.

Of course we had our family birthday celebration. Joey's favorite meal is rice and beans so we had that and some big chocolate cupcakes(: We had lots of fun and Joey was very proud to be such a big boy(: He can't wait for his birthday party this Sunday. He is most looking forward to throwing a pie in his Daddy's face (Daddy actually agreed to this!!)

Madi is 4...going on 20!

Madi had such a wonderful birthday and by the time it was over, she thought everyday was her birthday. The celebration just lasted so long she thought that was the way life would be from now on! She woke up January 26th to a trail of balloons leading upstairs to her present. She got a new dress up outfit (princess Ariel) and a beautiful crown to wear all day so everyone would know it was her special day. Then she got to choose one special thing that she wanted to do. Of course, being my daughter, she decided that she wanted to go into the coffee shop (rather than the drive through) and eat breakfast. Man, I love this kid(: The funniest part was that she even ordered her stuff herself because "I'm 4 now." Apparently, everything changes when your 4!!

After our yummy breakfast, and even yummier coffee mmmm..., she got to choose what she wanted to spend her birthday money on (thank you grandma Charlotte, Grandma marilyn, and Pop pop). She had a blast looking through all of the toys, and ultimately decided on a polly pocket swimming pool set. Lots of people were saying Happy Birthday which just made her beam(:

Monday night was our family celebration. Madi got to eat her cupcake on the "special" plate and we all sang happy birthday. But the fun didn't end there!!

On Tuesday, she got to celebrate at school with her friends. She got to choose out of the treasure box, wear her crown again, share cupcakes with her friends, and we all sang happy birthday again. She was very proud(:

Finally, Sunday came around. It was time for her Princess party!!! We had face painting, nail painting, balloon animals, (thank you Nikki!!) and a princess tea. The eight princesses were beautiful and definitely ready for the ball by the end!!! Madi had a beautiful princess cake (shocking, I know) and was very spoiled by her friends wonderful gifts. We couldn't have asked for better birthday for our sweet girl!

Happy Birthday my Sweet girl!! May all your dreams come true(:

Oh sweet Emily.....

Wow! Emily never ceases to amaze me. She is quite crafty and definitely keeps us on our toes!! She really enjoys being naked...even if her lips turn purple from being so cold. A couple of weeks ago, Terry and I woke up to a funny smell. Well, Emily had pooed in her pants and decided she wanted her room to be that color! It was like a murder scene. Poop was everywhere. So we had two options to control this: A. We could put her in a cage to contain her (which Steph feels is the best option) or B. We could trap her in her clothes. So...we opted for duct tape. Yes, we put duct tape on her clothes so that she cannot get out of them. We are going to have so much ammunition for embarassment when she is older.

We know Emily has a great sense of humor! She cracked us up the other night. We were having the greatest night with some of the kids tempers, so Terry and I were a bit stressed. All of the sudden Emily walks up the stairs with a pull up on her head telling us to look at her new hat. It definitely lightened the mood(: I think I could write a book on the adventures of Emily...a comedy of course!!
